The Aeropress
Whilst the kettle is boiling grind 20g of coffee to a medium to medium-fine level, place the filter into the top cap, and throughly rinse it through.
Keeping the Aeropress inverted, push the plunger to the number that corresponds to the amount of coffee you want to make. In this case, 3 cups are being made.
Fill to the top with hot water, having left it for a few minutes off the boil. Then, using either a teaspoon or the Aeropress supplied Agitator, thouroughly stir the coffee grounds. Make sure your stirrer is making contact with the bottom, this ensures a good stir.
Flip your Aeropress the other way up and place onto your cup. Gently push straight down on the plunger keeping your weight central to the cup. There may be a bit of resistance, in which case lean a bit more weight into the plunger, again keeping it centred - otherwise you might have a spillage on your hands.
The Aeropress is a quick and relatively simple espresso brewing method, perfect for the adventurous. Alternatively, it's a great early morning caffeine-hit, requiring very little preparation - you can add a drop of water to make an Aeropress americano.
